Job summary

Central England Coop is seeking a Funeral Advisor to oversee day-to-day running of our funeral homes, support families, and uphold high standards. You will cover other funeral homes when needed and arrange services at client premises as required.

We value empathy, organisation, and local connections, with duties including care checks, visiting room readiness, and DBS checks for new joiners from 1st December 2023. A full UK driving licence is essential and flexibility to travel is required.

Qualifications

• Compassionate nature and active listening are essential.
• Ability to handle complex information with accuracy and care.
• Willingness to travel within the area and cover other funeral homes as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge of services to personalise funerals and advise families accordingly.
• Arrange funerals with attention to cost and transparency.
• Communicate arrangements clearly between family and Funeral Director.
• Handle administration duties with sensitivity and accuracy.
• Ensure funeral home cleanliness, security and opening/closing duties.
• Promote funeral services within the local community.
• Build relationships with hospitals, nursing homes, clergy and doctors.
• Comply with statutory and internal policies and procedures.
