Job summary

The Crematorium and Memorial Group is seeking compassionate individuals to work casually, supporting families during funeral services and behind the scenes at Chaplin Road Care Centre, Sudbury. This flexible opportunity offers shifts during peak periods and extra ceremonial support as needed.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates compassion, empathy and professionalism.
• Understands the importance of presentation and discretion.
• Physically capable of manual handling tasks and lifting.

Responsibilities

• Assisting at funeral services, bearing coffins, setting up venues and supporting mourners.
• Driving and operating specialist vehicles such as hearses and limousines.
• Representing Dignity Funerals with professionalism and empathy.
• Providing respectful, discreet support to families on the day of the service.
• Maintaining ceremonial standards in appearance, conduct and service delivery.
