Job summary

Southern Housing is seeking a Care & Support Worker for Ryde Village on the Isle of Wight. This 25 hours per week role delivers personalised care to residents, helping them live independently with dignity and inclusion.

You’ll work across supported housing schemes, extra care services and in the local community, with flexibility for evenings and weekends and potential sleep-in duties. An Enhanced DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 GCSEs including Maths and English.
• Willingness to work towards NVQ Level 2 in Care (or equivalent).
• No previous experience required; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support across housing schemes and in the community.
• Follow individual care plans to promote independence, dignity and inclusion.
• Be available for evenings, weekends, sleep-in duties and on-call rotas.
