Job summary

Hill Care Ltd. is seeking a compassionate Care Assistant to support residents in our residential home. You will assist with daily activities, promote comfort and dignity, and work within a team to deliver high-quality care.

The role emphasizes effective communication, a caring approach, and a willingness to participate in training and development. A satisfactory police check is required, and a positive, patient-focused attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in working within a caring environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Team player.
• Willingness to participate in Vocational Training Programmes.
• Satisfactory Police Check and check against the POVA List (where applicable).
• Relevant Vocational Qualification (achieved / working towards).
• Experience of working with the relevant Client group.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities to support residents' comfort and dignity.
• Monitor residents' wellbeing and report changes to senior staff.
• Assist residents with mobility and use of aids.
• Support meal times and meal service.
• Respond to nurse calls and communicate messages promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of rooms and equipment.
• Record daily notes in accordance with policies.
• Support social activities and residents' hobbies.
• Ensure privacy and confidentiality of residents' information.
• Follow health and safety policies.
