Job summary

Worcestershire County Council invites applications for two permanent Front Door Advisor positions within Adult Communities & Provider Services. One post is 35 hours/week and the other 20 hours/week.

The role focuses on early advice, signposting to local wellbeing services and brief community interventions, with referrals to Social Work when needed. We follow the Building on Strengths approach and the role does not include personal care.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice and signposting to local wellbeing services and resources
• Deliver short-term intervention in the community in partnership with colleagues
• Refer individuals on to Social Work teams for appropriate health and social care support
• Apply the Building on Strengths approach and principles
• Offer early advice, support and guidance so that as many people as possible are helped at the earliest opportunity
