Job summary

Isle of Wight Council is seeking Community Support Workers to join the Outreach & Reablement team across the Isle of Wight. The base will be in Newport, with start locations in Newport or Ryde, delivering person-centred care in people’s homes.

You will support individuals following illness, injury or changes in circumstances, helping them regain independence and confidence with the support of a developing digital service and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
• Good digital skills and confidence with technology.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a domiciliary care setting.
• Flexibility to work shifts across the Island.
• A caring, compassionate outlook and passion for helping people.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in their own homes to maintain independence.
• Deliver high-quality, person-centred care and reablement support.
• Use digital systems to record care and communicate effectively.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and health professionals.
