Keeps Group operates a community residential home in Barry and is recruiting a Support Worker to assist adults with mental health needs. You will contribute to day-to-day care, promote independence, and help residents develop life skills in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• No prior care sector experience required; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day support for residents in the home.
• Prompt independence while helping residents live fulfilling lives.
• Support and encourage development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
• Maintain health care needs; accompany to routine appointments or administer medication.
• Teach life skills such as budgeting, paying bills and shopping.
• Assist with personal care as required.
• Assist with domestic tasks including cleaning and cooking.
• Provide guidance and emotional support.
