Job summary

Keys Care, part of Keys Group, is seeking a Wake Night Support Worker in Barry to provide high-quality overnight care to adults with mental health needs in a residential setting.

You will monitor residents, assist with night-time routines, respond to incidents, document changes in condition, and work independently through the night. The role includes a full induction, paid DBS, career development opportunities, and access to discounts and pension schemes.

Qualifications

  • Calm, reliable and responsible individual required for overnight care.
  • Experience in care is desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to monitor and support adults with complex needs during the night.
  • Must be over 18 and able to work night shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor residents during the night to ensure safety and well-being.
  • Provide support with night-time care routines.
  • Respond to emergencies or incidents during the night.
  • Maintain a calm and secure environment in the home.
  • Assist with light domestic tasks and keep communal areas tidy.

Kington House is a community-based residential home in Barry, We support male adults with mental health needs — including schizophrenia, personality disorders and alcohol or substance misuse — and have extensive experience of learning disabilities, dual diagnoses and acquired brain injuries, providing rehabilitation that focuses on greater independence.

As a Wake Night Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring the individuals during the night to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Providing support when needed, including assisting with night-time care routines.
  • Responding to emergencies or incidents that may arise during the night.
  • Maintaining a calm and secure environment, helping to create a peaceful atmosphere for the individuals.
  • Assisting with light domestic tasks as required, such as tidying and cleaning communal areas.
  • Recording incidents or changes in the individuals' condition and ensuring accurate documentation is kept.
  • Working independently throughout the night, maintaining vigilance and attention to detail.

This role requires a calm, reliable, and responsible individual who can work effectively overnight to provide high-quality care and support.
