Job summary

Brunelcare is hiring a Help When You Need It (HWYNI) Officer to deliver targeted short-term support for adults aged 55+ in the Bristol community, helping them stay independent and access relevant services.

You will provide one-to-one practical assistance, assist with budgeting and entitlements, liaise with families and professionals, and travel to clients in their homes with your own transport.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of welfare benefits for advising clients.
• Full driving licence and own transport required.
• Experience with vulnerable adults is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one support to adults 55+ in the community to promote independence.
• Work with older adults with support needs including mental health and substance misuse issues.
• Provide practical support such as budgeting, accessing services, dealing with correspondence, and applying for grants.
