Job summary

Brunelcare is seeking a Help When You Need It (HWYNI) Officer in Bristol to support adults aged 55+ in the community. The role focuses on delivering practical support, benefits advice and ensuring independence, with travel to clients' homes using a personal vehicle.

You will liaise with families and professionals, maximise entitlements, and assist with housing and resettlement when required. A driving licence and own transport are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of welfare benefits to advise clients.
• Ability to provide one-to-one support to adults 55+ in the community.
• Must have a full driving licence and be able to travel to clients’ homes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one support to adults 55+ to promote independence.
• Liaise with family, professionals and agencies to coordinate services.
• Help maximise benefit entitlements and advise on budgeting and finances.
• Assist with housing moves and resettlement when needed.
• Review and adjust clients’ support plans in coordination with the team.
