Job summary

Liverpool City Council is seeking a motivated Community Streetscene Officer to engage with residents, local groups and partners across Liverpool. The role focuses on delivering high standards of service, organising community initiatives and improving neighbourhood environments.

You will work from local offices, manage projects and funding, and build strong relationships with councillors and community organisations to strengthen local outcomes. A flexible, proactive communicator is essential.

Qualifications

  • Experience delivering public-facing services in a neighbourhood or environmental context.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to manage projects and funding in a local government setting.

Responsibilities

  • Be the key contact within a defined geographical area and respond to issues from councillors, partners, businesses and residents.
  • Manage projects and funding, enforce regulations, and ensure high standards of service and customer care.
  • Work in a designated area with main office bases in Liverpool.
  • Organise and support community events that promote improvements in neighbourhoods.
  • Demonstrate flexible approach and strong communication with stakeholders.

The role
  • Key point of contact within a defined geographical area; engage effectively and respond to issues, queries or opportunities from key stakeholders including councillors, key partners, businesses, local residents and community organisation groups.
  • Manage projects and funding, enforce regulations and ensure high standards of service, safety and customer care.
  • Work within a designated area of the city with main office based at Newton Road, L13 3HS and/or Cunard Building, L3 1AH.
  • Organise and support community events, projects and initiatives that actively promote sustainable environmental and social improvements in neighbourhoods.
  • Have experience of working at a similar level in a related field (Neighbourhood or Environmental related services); flexible approach; excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
