This post puts you at the heart of a passionate and dynamic department which is critical in the delivery of the Council’s services.
The role of Environmental Health Officer involves a wide range of regulatory functions, balancing proportionate risk‑based enforcement interventions to our businesses. You will be carrying out food hygiene inspections, reactive and proactive health and safety enforcement, infectious disease controls, complaint investigations, sampling, and project work. You will have your own workload to take responsibility for and have the opportunity to use the full range of your professional skills and knowledge to improve standards.
