Job summary

Liverpool City Council invites applications for multiple Community Streetscene Officers to serve citywide, Liverpool. You will be a key contact in a defined area, engaging with councillors, partners, businesses and residents to respond effectively to issues and opportunities.

You will manage projects and funding, enforce regulations, and promote sustainable environmental and social improvements in neighbourhoods. A flexible, communicative practitioner with local knowledge is sought.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working at a similar level in a related field (Neighbourhood or Environmental related services).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

The role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a number of Community Streetscene Officers with LCC’s Neighbourhood and Housing Directorate.

  • The role of Community Streetscene Officer you will be required to be a key point of contact within a defined geographical area and you must be able to engage effectively and respond to issues, queries or opportunities from key stakeholders including councillors, key partners, businesses, local residents and community organisation groups
  • In the role of Community Streetscene Officer you will manage projects and funding, enforce regulations and ensure high standards of service, safety and customer care. You will work within a designated area of the city with your main office bases being between Newton Road, L13 3HS and/or Cunard Building, L3 1AH
  • As part of the role of Community Streetscene Officer you will be required to organise and support community events, projects and initiatives that actively promote sustainable environmental and social improvements in Neighbourhoods
  • For the role of Community Streetscene Officer, we are looking for a candidate that has experience of working at a similar level in a related field (Neighbourhood or Environmental related services). They will also take a flexible approach and have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
