Job summary

Co-op is hiring Customer Team Members in Alston. You will join a friendly team in a busy 24-hour store, handling a mix of opening, middle and closing shifts, including weekends. The role includes post office or online order support and full paid training.

You must be 18+ and flexible to work across trading hours. You will help keep shelves stocked, assist customers, promote Co-op membership and contribute to a welcoming local presence.

Qualifications

• Passion for helping people and delivering great service.
• Ability to work flexibly across a number of shifts.
• Interest in retail and busy store environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly, thoughtful service to customers and resolve issues when needed.
• Work with your team to keep the store running smoothly.
• Handle tills and counter transactions, and assist with post office duties where applicable.
• Keep shelves stocked, check prices and stock accuracy.
• Ensure store safety and compliance with store policies and regulations.
• Promote Co-op Membership and support the local community.
