Job summary

Stockport NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a flexible Community Staff Nurse for a fixed-term contract of 6 months (37.5 hours per week). The post supports District Nursing Service delivering care in patients' homes and residential settings, across Stockport, working with community teams and GPs to provide high-quality care.

You should have strong assessment and organisational skills, be willing to travel efficiently across multiple community sites between 08:00 and 18:00, seven days a week.

Community Staff Nurse - Fixed Term: 6 months (37.5 hours)

Our work in Core Neighbourhoods is at the very heart of Stockport Neighbourhood Care. Services will be offered seven days a week to help people remain healthy and build independence. The aim being that the “right care is delivered to the right people at the right time”.

We are looking for a flexible, innovative practitioner with a variety of clinical skills. The District Nursing Service provides care in patients’ homes as well as residential homes caring for patients with complex needs and supporting carers.

The post holders will work with the Community Nurses and other multidisciplinary teams with the support of Mastercall GPs, to provide a first class service to the residents of Stockport.

The post holder should have good organisational and assessment skills be flexible and willing to cover the service between 08:00 - 18:00 over a 7 day period.

Due to the nature of the role, it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently and efficiently across multiple community sites to meet the operational requirements of the role
