Job summary

Cambridgeshire County Council is seeking a dedicated smoking cessation practitioner to deliver tailored support to individuals experiencing homelessness across Cambridgeshire. The role focuses on harm reduction, with up to 26 weeks of intensive support, including NRT or vapes and CO monitoring, meeting people in hostels and community settings.

You will maintain case records and work with partner agencies to raise awareness of the service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in health and social care.
• Experience as a NCSCT Stop Smoking Practitioner is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across partner organisations.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 smoking cessation advice using a flexible, trauma-informed outreach approach.
• Meet individuals in hostels, day centres, temporary accommodation and community settings.
• Collaborate with partner agencies countywide to raise awareness of the service and opportunities.
