Job summary

Cambridgeshire County Council is seeking a dedicated health professional to deliver a bespoke smoking cessation service for people experiencing homelessness and multiple disadvantage across Cambridgeshire. The role is fixed-term for 1 year with potential extension, working 37 hours per week across county locations.

The post supports NCSCT guidelines, 1:1 outreach, and intensive cessation support with CO monitoring.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in health and social care or smoking cessation field.
• Experience as a NCSCT Stop Smoking Practitioner preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and cross-agency collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 smoking cessation advice using flexible, trauma-informed outreach.
• Meet individuals in hostels, shelters, and community settings countywide.
• Maintain accurate case records and data in required systems.
• Raise awareness of the service through partnership working with agencies.
• Support up to 26 weeks of intensive cessation support, including NRT/vape options.
