Job summary

Cambridgeshire County Council invites applications for a Health and Social Care Advisor to deliver 1:1 smoking cessation support in community settings across Cambridgeshire. The role emphasizes harm reduction and supports individuals through up to 26 weeks of intensive coaching, including NRT and vaping options.

You will collaborate with partner agencies, conduct outreach across hostels and community services, and keep accurate case records in line with service requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in health and social care.
• Preferably experience as a NCSCT Stop Smoking Practitioner.
• Ability to work from multiple locations and travel countywide independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 smoking cessation advice in community settings.
• Work with partner agencies to raise awareness of the service.
• Maintain accurate records on case management systems.
• Deliver up to 26 weeks of intensive support and harm-reduction approaches.
