Job summary

Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant to support adults with acquired communication and swallowing difficulties in a community-based team. You will work under supervision, handling admin, IT support, and communication aids, with opportunities for CPD and supervised practice.

The role offers flexible working patterns and a hybrid model, with duties across Weymouth, Portland, Dorchester, Bridport and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Follow direction from qualified clinicians to implement planned treatment interventions.
• Provide confidential administration and IT support to the Community Speech and Language Therapy Service.
• Maintain and prepare communication aids used within the service.
• Support patients and the service in Weymouth, Portland, Dorchester, Bridport and surrounding areas.
