Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust is hiring a Community Speech & Language Therapist to provide a full range of SLT services in South East Essex for adults with communication and swallowing disorders. The role includes managing a clinical caseload, triaging referrals, and developing a clinical specialism within a supportive MDT.

Qualifications

• Provide SLT service across South East Essex for adults with communication and swallowing disorders.
• Be responsible for the prioritisation and management of own clinical caseload.
• Begin to develop a clinical specialism and support colleagues in this area.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the service team to provide continuing care for people with communication and/or swallowing difficulties.
• Deliver training to other SLTs and the wider multi-disciplinary team.
• Supervise less experienced SLTs, students and assistants and provide clinical supervision for newly-qualified SLTs.
