Job summary

HCRG Care Group is looking for a motivated Speech and Language Therapy Assistant to join the Children’s Speech and Language Therapy team. You will support CYP with SLCN by delivering therapy programmes devised by an SLT, maintain progress records, and provide admin support to SLTs.

The role is part-time (22.5 hours), term-time only, based at High Post with visits across south Wiltshire. The ideal candidate will have GCSE English & Maths or NVQ, at least two years’ experience with children, and

Qualifications

• Essential: Minimum GCSE grade 4 or C in English & Maths or NVQ level in relevant field
• Two years’ experience working with children
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Self-motivation and enthusiasm
• Organised and able to manage own time
• Good interpersonal skills including listening and empathy
• Willingness to learn and develop
• Clear and accurate documentation skills
• Desirable: Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle

Responsibilities

• Deliver regular intervention for CYP by delivering therapy programmes devised by a qualified SLT.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of children's progress.
• Provide administrative support to the clinical work of SLTs.
• Contribute to the effective delivery of the service.
• Role involves visits to educational settings in the south Wiltshire area during the working week.
