Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Speech and Language Therapist to join the Community Adult SLT service in a Specialist Practitioner role. You will provide home, clinic, and community hospital inpatient care and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage complex cases.

The post offers CPD opportunities, regular supervision, and a hybrid working pattern with some home and office-based work.

Formación

• Registered practitioner to degree/diploma level with specialist training or extensive experience
• Membership of the relevant Professional Body
• Learning and Assessing in Practice qualification or equivalent
• Evidence of recent professional development in an up-to-date portfolio

Responsabilidades

• Work with individuals with neurological conditions presenting with complex communication and swallowing difficulties
• Collaborate with community SLTs to develop specialist skills
• Refer to videofluoroscopy clinic as appropriate
• Develop skills and knowledge of working with AAC
• Attend local SLT meetings with CPD focus
• Supervise Band 5 therapists and work with SLT assistants
