Job summary

Abri is recruiting a Community Safety Officer for the London Region, based at Emily House, Kensal Road. You will manage a varied caseload, tackling anti-social behaviour, supporting safeguarding cases and domestic abuse victims, and liaising with partners across agencies.

The role requires a full UK driving licence, regular home visits, and a hybrid working pattern with two days in the office weekly. We prioritise customer safety and community welfare.

Responsibilities

• Tackle anti-social behaviour with investigative, preventative and enforcement activities
• Progress legal matters through court processes and safeguard-related issues
• Support victims of domestic abuse and coordinate with internal and external agencies
• Visit customers in their homes and neighbourhoods; mileage may be paid
• Build relationships across teams; attend multi-agency meetings as required
• Operate with an agile, collaborative approach, with office presence 2 days per week

The Role

1 x Community Safety Officer - London Region, with the main office being Emily House 202-208 Kensal Rd, London W10 5BN.

You'll be working with a challenging and varied caseload. No two days in this post will be the same as you'll take a proactive approach to tackling anti-social behaviour by carrying out investigative, preventative and enforcement activities, as well as initiating and supporting community projects that help to minimise and prevent such behaviour.

You'll also be progressing legal matters through the court process, responding to a range of safeguarding issues as well as supporting victims of domestic abuse.

The role requires you to proactively build relationships with colleagues across internal teams and external agencies, attending multi-agency meetings as required. You'll need to undertake regular visits to customers in their homes and the wider neighbourhoods for which appropriate mileage will be paid.

We are looking for great team players with knowledge and experience of the various tools and powers available to us to prevent and tackle anti-social behaviour, and excellent communication skills to manage complex safeguarding cases and support victims of domestic abuse.

For this position you will need have access to your own transport so a full UK driving licence is essential.

We have an agile working approach with an expectation colleagues work together at an office 2 days per week, with flexibility for community-based roles.
