The Role

We are recruiting for a Community Outreach Officer who will engage with local communities to identify people who need help overcoming barriers which may prevent them from gaining work or pursuing their ambitions.

Location and Salary

Across Manchester, Salford & Trafford

Up to £28,420

Full Time, Temporary (6-12 weeks)

Responsibilities

• You will work within the community to promote the service to customers from all backgrounds, including those speaking community languages (Urdu, Arabic, Bengali, Gujarati, Somali, or Tigrinya).
• You will support customers to understand the benefits of the programme, helping to increase their confidence and overcome personal barriers to life, learning, and employment.
• You will signpost interested customers to the programme and arrange meetings with their key worker for 121 support.

Required Skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with additional language abilities preferred.
• Good understanding of the Salford, Manchester, and Trafford regions, with the ability to build rapport and empathize with local residents.
• Willingness to travel across these regions, either by car or public transport.
