Our passionate Apprenticeships and Business Development team is recruiting for several Employer Engagement Officers. These officers will be responsible for employer engagement and student recruitment activities within the department.

Responsibilities include:

  • Generating income through apprenticeships across various curriculum areas.
  • Collaborating with Business Development Officers to ensure a high-quality experience for all employer partners.
  • Sourcing, vetting, and passing on apprenticeship vacancies to Business Development Officers for candidate placement.
  • Proactively generating new business leads, responding to inquiries, and maintaining relationships with existing employers.
  • Representing the college at external meetings and events.
  • Conducting employer training needs analysis, developing training plans, and creating proposals with curriculum colleagues.
  • Collaborating with the Projects Team to identify and write bids and proposals for new business opportunities.
  • Presenting the college's apprenticeship offerings at external events, including employer boards and networks.
  • Building relationships with stakeholders involved in the Skills Agenda, such as the Local Authority and Chamber of Commerce.
  • Assisting the Head of Department in developing sales, marketing, and business development plans.
  • Working closely with curriculum areas to develop and deliver training packages tailored to employers' needs.
