Torfaen County Borough Council is recruiting for a role within the Neighbourhoods and Environment division to support the Torfaen Healthy Planet, Healthy People project.

The position, Grade 7, offers 37 hours per week on a fixed-term contract until 31 July 2028, with salary between £36,581 and £40,444 per annum. The role may involve occasional travel across the UK and some out-of-hours work.

Do you love nature and helping people connect with it, have experience of delivering nature-based events and activities, supporting people to access greenspaces and working with volunteers and growing volunteering to help support nature? If so, this could be the role for you. We are building a team to deliver an exciting new project, Torfaen Healthy Planet, Healthy People, funded through the Nature Towns and Cities programme.

Nature Towns and Cities is a coalition of public, private and third sector organisations committed to bringing nature and green space to urban areas for everyone's benefit. This coalition will help to put nature, green infrastructure and heritage at the heart of local decision-making, focusing on those areas that will benefit the most. Home - Nature Towns & Cities

Torfaen Council promotes Family Friendly Policies, utilising home working and flexible hours where appropriate. Some work outside normal office hours and occasional travel across the UK will be required.
