Job summary

Tal in Taunton is recruiting a Support Time and Recovery Worker to support adults with mental health needs in the community. You will work with people in their homes, helping them develop daily living skills and build social connections.

The role involves travelling across the community, providing person-centred care, and working with a multidisciplinary team to support recovery and independence. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential, with potential weekend and night

Qualifications

  • Experience in caring, support, customer-facing or community-based roles.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, compassionate and person-centred.
  • Ability to stay calm and supportive when working with distressed individuals.
  • Organised and able to manage own workload within a multidisciplinary team.
  • NVQ in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) or willingness to undertake training.
  • Commitment to equality, diversity, recovery and inclusion.
  • Comfortable using digital systems to support care.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with people in their homes and communities to develop skills for daily living and independence.
  • Help improve social connections and access community resources.
  • Support individuals during inpatient stays and ease transition back to community life.
