Job summary

Together for Mental Wellbeing is seeking a Support Worker for its Norfolk Road service, a registered 11-bed accommodation supporting people with complex mental health needs.

You will provide direct support with daily living activities, assist with medication, and participate in risk assessments and reporting. The role includes a rolling rota with weekends and sleep-ins, delivering compassionate care and maintaining professional boundaries.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting vulnerable individuals in paid work, volunteering, or life experience.
• GCSE English or Level II qualification or equivalent required.
• Basic competence in email and word processing software.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain trusting relationships with service users to build engagement.
• Help service users set and achieve goals, manage tenancies and move-ons.
• Work flexibly with service users in their homes and in the community.
• Carry out assessments and determine urgency of service user needs.
• Refer to professionals and link service users into community opportunities.
• Carry out risk assessments to keep service users safe and improve care quality.
• Attend placement reviews and participate in learning activities.
• Work 1:1 and in groups with service users.
