Job summary

Northallerton Library in North Yorkshire is seeking a dynamic team player to deliver high-quality library and information services, including a programme of activities and events. You will support customers face to face and digitally, helping them access resources and digital services.

You will promote the Library Service to the wider community, work with volunteers and partner organisations, and be available for some weekends and evenings. The fixed-term role ends in June 2027.

Qualifications

• Literacy and numeracy qualifications equivalent to Level 2.
• High level of digital literacy with confidence in using social media.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality library and information services to customers.
• Support customers to find resources and access digital services.
• Promote the Library Service to the wider community and work with partners.
• Work with staff and volunteers to deliver activities and events.
• Be available for weekends and evenings as required.
