Job summary

ScotCen is seeking a Field Interviewer to visit households, conduct in-home interviews and capture real-life experiences to inform policy decisions across Scotland. You’ll travel within your local patch, schedule interviews around participants, and log responses accurately using our devices.

Full training is provided; you’ll work at least 20 hours per week across three days, with weekday, evening and weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence and sole use of a car.
• Right to work in the UK.
• DBS check willingness.
• Reliable home broadband and basic tech skills.

Responsibilities

• Visit people in your local area for in-home research interviews.
• Capture stories on health, housing, transport and daily life.
• Record responses accurately using NatCen devices.
• Plan routes and travel across your assigned patch.
• Attend regular check-ins and training before fieldwork.
