Bridge-It Housing in Wakefield is seeking a Housing Support Worker to make a real difference in clients’ lives. The role requires a full-time, permanent contract with 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and a valid UK driving licence due to travel within the role.

Salary is £26,500 per year with mileage paid within policy and travel expenses reimbursed for inductions. This position emphasises client support, independence, and community integration.

Qualifications

• Experience in support, customer-facing or community roles.
• Able to support people with complex needs using empathy and professional boundaries.
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.

Responsibilities

• Provide client guidance to access services including benefits, health, education, employment and banking.
• Support clients to build confidence, independence, and social connections.
• Complete sign-ups, maintain records, and assist with documents for service monitoring.
• Conduct regular welfare checks and attend key appointments as needed.
• Coordinate with agencies, landlords and providers to ensure joined-up support.
