Job summary

Bridge-It Housing in Kirklees is seeking a Housing Support Worker to deliver person-centred support to clients in the local community, in a role that operates 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

The position requires a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle; mileage is paid and business insurance is required. Inductions are at our Leeds head office and travel expenses are reimbursed. A basic DBS is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in support, customer-facing or community roles.
• Able to support people with complex needs with empathy and boundaries.
• Experience working with vulnerable people or understanding related issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide client guidance to access services and practical support.
• Support client integration, confidence, and community links.
• Complete sign-ups and maintain accurate client records.
• Attend regular welfare check-ins and appointments.
• Coordinate joined-up support with partners and providers.
• Carry out risk assessments and maintain confidentiality.
• Support colleagues and promote equality and inclusion.
