Job summary

LATCH in Leeds is hiring Housing Support Workers to cover 37, 30 or 22.5 hours per week, with two roles available. You will manage active caseloads of people with complex needs, provide person-centred support, help with tenancy management and access to services, and travel as required with a valid UK driving licence.

Interviews will be held in late October 2026. The charity refurbishes homes for people facing homelessness, offering flexible, individualised support and striving for independent

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ experience as a Support Worker.
• Experience managing an active caseload of people with multiple and complex needs.
• Ability to build and maintain effective support relationships.
• Knowledge of homelessness and related issues.
• Ability to develop, implement and review person-centred support plans.

Responsibilities

• Complete housing and support needs assessments and contribute to housing offers.
• Develop and regularly review individual support plans using the Outcomes Star.
• Help tenants establish and maintain tenancies and reduce homelessness risk.
• Support tenants with budgeting, paying bills, and managing their homes.
• Help tenants access welfare benefits and maximise income.
• Support tenants to access community activities, volunteering, training and employment opportunities.
• Complete risk assessments and respond to safeguarding concerns.
• Work with partner organisations, make referrals and attend meetings.
• Support tenants to prepare for independent living and move successfully.
• Monitor condition of accommodation and report repairs or damage.
• Maintain confidential case records and contribute to service outcomes.
