Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a District Nurse (Band 5) on a part-time basis (22.5 hours per week) with flexible working. The role covers community and home-based care in North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham regions, within the District Nursing Service.

Qualifications

• State registration with the NMC is essential for nursing practice.
• Newly qualified staff must undertake the Trust preceptorship programme within the first year.
• Evidence of qualification to supervise, teach and assess students is required.

Responsabilités

• Provide patient-centered care in patients' homes, residential care settings, and clinics.
• Autonomously and as part of the district nursing team, plan and evaluate care for diverse patient groups.
• Deliver wound care, palliative care, venepuncture, injections and catheter care as required.
• Perform assessments and communicate results clearly to patients and carers.
• Support compassionate care consistent with the 6Cs and Trust standards.

Formation

State Registration on Part 1 of the 3 part NMC register

Preceptorship programme within first year

Evidence of qualification to supervise/teach students
