Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is seeking a Community Dietitian to join the South Clyde Dietetic Service. You will provide high-quality, evidence-based dietetic care to adults in community settings and a specialist caseload for learning disabilities, across Renfrewshire and Inverclyde.

The role involves home visits, community clinics and collaboration with medical, nursing and allied health colleagues to deliver person-centred care and professional education.

Qualifications

• BSc in Human Nutrition & Dietetics (or equivalent).
• Current HCPC registration.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential).
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to delivering person-centred and inclusive care.
• Experience delivering evidence-based dietetic practice.
• Ability to provide education, training and supervision to staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver an evidence-based dietetic service in line with national and local priorities.
• Provide specialist nutritional assessment and intervention across the lifespan, including individuals with learning disabilities.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues to support patients with complex nutritional needs.
• Supervise and mentor student dietitians, dietetic assistants/support workers and administrative staff.
• Deliver education and training to healthcare professionals on nutrition-related topics.
• Contribute to local health improvement initiatives and support development of the Nutrition and Dietetic Service.
