Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a Band 6 Community Dietitian to join the Perth and Kinross Dietetic Team. The role focuses on delivering nutrition care in community settings, including GP practices and patients’ homes, with emphasis on nutrition support and pathway development.

The post involves collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues, potential ward cover at Perth Royal Infirmary, and supervision of Dietetic Support Workers. 22 hours per week pro rata.

Qualifications

• Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Band 6 Community Dietitian role with supervision of Dietetic Support Workers.
• Experience delivering community-based nutritional care including nutrition support.
• Proactive approach to clinical care, service improvement, education and pathway development.

Responsibilities

• Provide dietetic care in community settings including GP practices, community hospitals, patients' homes and care homes.
• Offer dietetic support to NHS Tayside’s Long Term Conditions Service.
• Occasional ward cover at Perth Royal Infirmary as required.
• Supervise Dietetic Support Workers and/or a Band 5 Rotational Dietitian; work with the team to improve pathways and standards.
