Job summary

ClwydAlyn Housing is seeking a Chef to join our Extra Care team, delivering meals and creating welcoming dining experiences across our schemes in East Wales, including Shotton, Wrexham and Welshpool. This permanent 30-hour role offers sociable hours with opportunities to pick up extra shifts.

You'll work closely with residents and colleagues to support social interaction, food hygiene and kitchen standards across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Experience in chef/catering roles within care settings preferred.
• Hold a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate or be willing to obtain one.
• Understanding of food safety, allergen management and kitchen compliance.
• Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals for residents.
• Create a welcoming dining experience across schemes.
• Support residents to enjoy mealtimes as a social activity.
• Maintain food hygiene, allergen and health and safety standards.
• Manage stock and supplies in the kitchen.
• Travel between schemes to provide support.
