Job summary

The Wrekin Housing Group Limited in Whitchurch is seeking an Assistant Chef to prepare nutritious meals for ShireLiving residents. This 30-hour per week role operates on a 7-day rota, with shifts from 07:00 to 15:00, on a part-time permanent basis.

You will assist with day-to-day kitchen operations, maintain hygiene standards, and work within a supportive team in a housing and care environment for residents aged 55+. The role offers development opportunities and access to employee benefits.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the day-to-day management of kitchen operations
• Monitoring stock levels and carrying out inventory checks
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment

• Ensuring food hygiene, health and safety, and sanitation standards are consistently maintained
