Job summary

Company Shop Group in Knottingley is hiring a dedicated Chef Educator to lead our Community Kitchen initiatives. You will use your culinary expertise to prepare nutritious meals and support the delivery of community programmes aligned with local needs.

You will work closely with colleagues and external partners to drive social impact, train staff, and promote membership growth across the Community Shop network. DBS check will be carried out as part of the offer process.

Qualifications

• Strong culinary background with proven cooking skills.
• NVQ level 2 in Catering or equivalent.
• Food hygiene level 2 or higher.
• Knowledge of HACCP.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver Community Kitchen’s culinary development programmes.
• Produce freshly cooked, nutritious meals daily.
• Deliver in-house training and development programmes.
• Engage with local communities through activities.
• Support cross-functional collaboration across departments.
• Promote Community Kitchen’s social impact and membership.
• Ensure Health, Safety & Environmental policies are upheld.
• Collaborate with external partners to maximise social impact.
