Company Shop Group is seeking a dedicated Community Chef Educator for the Community Kitchen at Beechwood, Birkenhead. You will lead culinary initiatives, prepare nutritious meals from surplus stock, and support community engagement through training and social impact programs.
You will work with stakeholders to drive positive community change, uphold food safety standards, and develop staff and volunteers within a values-driven environment.

Community Kitchen is seeking a dedicated Chef Educator to lead our culinary initiatives and drive positive change within our Beechwood store in Birkenhead.
You will need to be able to think on your feet and use your culinary expertise to produce freshly cooked, nutritious meals. But also, it is essential that you will be confident and supportive in the delivery of our Community Kitchen programmes and community-based initiatives that align in response to your community’s needs. You will need to be ready and willing to create positive changes in our members and to question and rethink concepts, assumptions and practises.
Working closely with internal and external stakeholders you will be able to demonstrate your leadership, initiative and ability to work effectively in a capacity that reflects Community shop’s values.
A strong culinary background
NVQ level 2 in Catering ( or similar qualifications )
Food hygiene level 2 or above.
Knowledge of HACCP
Experience delivering effective cooking / training programmes
Experience working with vulnerable individuals
Experience gained within a community-based setting
