Primary Responsibilities
The primary goal of our Commissioning Managers is to ensure that the processes involved in commissioning engineering services systems are well-planned, managed, executed, and documented.
- Deliver commitments to clients on time, with the required detail and quality.
- Utilize the company’s management systems effectively.
- Provide consultative advice on commissioning strategies, requirements, and scopes of work.
- Proactively advance commissioning activities throughout project cycles in collaboration with General Contractors and Vendors.
Additional Responsibilities
- Engage with team members to improve systems and procedures.
- Serve as a technical champion in specific areas of expertise.
- Promote the company through marketing activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain safety at all times, adhering to health and safety policies.
- Work diligently, professionally, and efficiently.
- Ensure technical compliance and high-quality deliverables.
- Collaborate with clients and contractors to develop commissioning strategies.
- Adopt company management systems to ensure proper commissioning in accordance with documentation.
- Monitor project finances and control expenditures.
- Attend meetings, prepare reports, and develop project-specific documents and procedures.
- Review drawings, manuals, and technical submittals.
- Report scope changes and evaluate project progress and costs.
General Duties
- Arrange test instrumentation for testing activities.
- Assist in tender development.
- Complete timesheets accurately weekly.
- Support team members proactively.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent; extensive project management experience; professional memberships (e.g., CIBSE, ASHRAE) are advantageous.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in project or commissioning management within building services.
- Strong communication skills, client-focused, flexible, resilient, and leadership qualities.
- Self-motivated, professional, and adaptable.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and go the extra mile for clients.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, developing supportive relationships.
- Confident communicator, detail-oriented, and responsible for personal development.
- Innovative, open to change, and capable of motivating others.
- Ability to analyze issues, plan proactively, meet deadlines, and make decisions.
Required Qualifications
- Willing to travel to site locations as needed.
- Experienced engineer, licensed PE or field technician with strong MEP systems knowledge.
- Proficient in computer skills, including MS Office and project management software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiar with design documentation, construction practices, and project financial management.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks.
