Commissioning Manager – London

CLIENT

Linum Consult’s client is an international specialist in Data Centres. They are looking to expand their business across Europe, and are seeking a Commissioning Manager with a background in major data centre projects to join their team in London.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supporting the Lead Commissioning Manager in the development of a comprehensive strategic commissioning playbook and schedules for commissioning activities, tailored to each project’s unique specifications, timelines, and objectives
  • Troubleshooting complex issues, resolving conflicts, and optimising system performance using your technical expertise and knowledge of commissioning methodologies
  • Driving stakeholders, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and managing the resolution of any issues that may arise during the commissioning process
  • Ensuring that the project and project team are sufficiently allocated the correct level of personnel, equipment, and materials for the commissioning activities
  • Implementing a robust quality assurance process to ensure that all commissioning activities and gateways meet client expectations, contractual obligations, specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Ensuring that the company’s health and safety procedures are routinely followed, and maintaining relevant health and safety records to meet regulatory standards and company policies

PROFILE

  • Degree qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 5-10 years’ experience in on-site mechanical & electrical commissioning, working on large-scale data centres
  • Excellent collaborative and teamworking skills, with the ability to lead a small team of engineers
  • Strong technical knowledge of commissioning elements for sustainability accreditation (BREEAM, WELL, LEED, NABORS)
  • IT literate, with a demonstrable history of working with MS Office software and PowerBI
  • Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English
  • The right to live and work in the UK
