Job summary

SSP Food Travel Experts is hiring a Commis Chef for Spinning Jenny at Glasgow Airport. The role pays £13.43 per hour, with an extra £1.20 per hour for hours between midnight and 6 AM, making £14.63 per hour for those shifts. It is a fixed-term contract until January 2027, full-time (30+ hours/week).

You’ll work across weekdays, weekends, and bank holidays in a fast-paced kitchen, receive full training, and have access to staff discounts and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5 years of references and Criminal Record Check required.
• Previous kitchen experience is desirable but training provided.
• Must be 18+ to perform certain tasks or shifts.

Responsibilities

• Accurate cooking and presentation to spec.
• Measuring dish ingredients and portion sizes accurately.
• Keep workstation clean and organised.
• Contribute to maintaining kitchen and food safety standards.

Pay Rate:Rate of pay is

£13.43 per hour + as a little incentive, you will earn

an extra £1.20 per hour for hours worked between midnight and 6 AM, bringing

your rate of pay to £14.63 per hour.
