Job summary

SSP at Glasgow Airport is hiring a Commis Chef for a fixed-term contract until January 2027. The role is full-time (30+ hours/week) with shifts from 3am to 11pm. Pay starts at £13.43 per hour plus an extra £1.20 per hour for hours between midnight-6am, effectively £14.63 per hour.

Qualifications

• 5 years of references and Criminal Record Check required.
• Must be 18 years of age or over to perform certain shifts.
• Previous kitchen experience is desirable; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Accurate cooking and presentation to spec.
• Measuring dish ingredients and portion sizes accurately.
• Keep your workstation clean and organised.
• Contribute to maintaining kitchen and food safety standards.
• If you've worked nights before, that’s a plus.

COMMIS CHEF - SPINNING JENNY, GLASGOW AIRPORT

Pay Rate:Rate of pay is £13.43 per hour + as a little incentive, you will earnan extra £1.20 per hourfor hours worked between midnight and 6 AM, bringing your rate of pay to £14.63 per hour.

Fixed Term Contract until January 2027. Hours: Full-Time 30+ hours per week scheduled between the hours of 3am - 11pm.Working flexibly across weekdays, weekends, and bank/public holidays.
