Job summary

SSP UK & Ireland is recruiting for a Commis Chef at Spinning Jenny, Glasgow Airport. The role is a fixed-term contract until January 2027, with full-time hours (30+ per week) across 3am–11pm shifts.

The pay rate is £13.43 per hour, with an extra £1.20 per hour for hours between midnight and 6 AM, totaling £14.63 per hour. We offer training, staff discounts, and benefits including discounted meals, parking, and health support.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of references and a Criminal Record Check are required.
• Applicants must be 18 years of age or over to perform certain tasks or shifts.

Responsibilities

• Accurate cooking and presentation to spec.

• Keep workstation clean and organised.
• Contribute to maintaining kitchen and food safety standards.
• Previous kitchen experience is desirable but full training is provided.

About The Role

COMMIS CHEF - SPINNING JENNY, GLASGOW AIRPORT

Pay Rate: Rate of pay is £13.43 per hour + as a little incentive, you will earn an extra £1.20 per hour for hours worked between midnight and 6 AM, bringing your rate of pay to £14.63 per hour.

Fixed Term Contract until January 2027. Hours: Full-Time 30+ hours per week scheduled between the hours of 3am - 11pm. Working flexibly across weekdays, weekends, and bank/public holidays.
