Company Description

Searcys is looking for a Commis Chef to join the team at our unique venue at The Kings Fund.

As a Commis Chef for Searcys, you will be an ambassador for our brand, delivering memorable food experiences. You will support the Sous/Head Chef in daily operations and mentor junior kitchen staff.

Located near Oxford Street and Regent Street, No.11 Cavendish Square offers bright event spaces suitable for meetings, conferences, award dinners, and seasonal parties. The venue also features a modern cafe bar for casual visits.

Job Details

Type: Approx. 30 hours/week on shift system

Salary: £14.50/hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the senior kitchen team in daily operations.
  • Work across all kitchen sections, proficient in preparing a variety of dishes for events and restaurant service.
  • Ensure compliance with all legislative and health & safety guidelines, including The Food Safety Act, Health and Safety at Work Act, COSHH regulations, etc.

Qualifications

  • Driven by excellence in food quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Exemplary behaviour, acting as an ambassador within the team.
  • Creative culinary ideas for menus and events.
  • Experience as Chef de Partie or aspiring Commis Chef with high-end restaurant or hotel background.
  • Ability to mentor team members.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety practices.
