Job summary

Village Hotels Coventry is seeking a passionate Commis Chef to join our busy kitchen. You’ll learn, prep, and support the Head Chef in a high-volume brigade, focusing on fundamentals and consistent quality. You’ll bring energy, teamwork, and a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• The Prep & The Line: assist chefs on your section, control portions, check temps, ensure plates meet specs
• The Standards: maintain cleanliness, follow food hygiene, HACCP, and EHO directives
• The Product: know the menu, taste and test dishes before service
• The Teamwork: keep communication clear, report faults, minimise waste and coordinate with teams
