Harper's Steakhouse at the Weighbridge is seeking a Commis Chef for our growing Bitter? Upham Inns group, offering a competitive hourly rate and a share of Tronc up to £5,000 annually. Flexible shifts and meal discounts for you and up to 6 guests accompany a structured development path toward Head Chef.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of all sections in a kitchen.
• Ability to work under supervision of a limited range.
• Understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Understanding of basic food hygiene practices.
• Good oral communication.
• Team-oriented mentality.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Ability to work unsupervised and deliver quality work.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the food preparation process.
• Cooking and preparing elements of high quality dishes.
• Preparing vegetables, meats and fish.
• Assisting other Chefs.
• Helping with deliveries and restocking.
• Assisting with stock rotation.
• Cleaning stations.
• Maintaining kitchen and food safety standards.
• Comply with Food safety, fire, health and safety, licensing and employment laws.
