Upham Inns is recruiting for a Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. The role involves assisting in food preparation and delivering quality dishes under supervision, with opportunities to progress to Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, or Head Chef as you develop.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of all sections in a kitchen.
• Ability to work under supervision of a limited range.
• Deliver quality food with attention to safety and hygiene.
• Good oral communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the food preparation process.
• Cooking and preparing elements of high quality dishes.
• Preparing vegetables, meats and fish.
• Assisting other Chefs.
• Helping with deliveries and restocking.
• Assisting with stock rotation.
• Cleaning stations.
• Contributing to maintaining kitchen and food safety standards.
• Comply with all Food safety, fire, Health and safety, licensing and employment laws
