Upham Inns is recruiting for a Commis Chef to join our busy kitchens in Southern England. We offer up to £13 per hour plus a share of Tronc (potentially up to £5000 per year) and flexible shift patterns to suit your life.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of all kitchen sections.
• Ability to work under supervision of a limited range.
• Ability to produce good quality basic food.
• Understanding of health and safety.
• Understanding of basic food hygiene practices.
• Good oral communication.
• Team management skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Ability to work unsupervised and deliver quality work.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the food preparation process.
• Cooking and preparing elements of high quality dishes.
• Preparing vegetables, meats and fish.
• Assisting other Chefs.
• Helping with deliveries and restocking.
• Assisting with stock rotation.
• Cleaning stations.
• Maintaining kitchen and food safety standards.
• Comply with Food safety, fire, Health and safety laws.
